I applied for a research assistant role tied to a Harvard education project, and the beginning of the process felt disorganized in a way that lingered.

After I sent the first email with my application materials, I waited several weeks and had to follow up before the recruiter even acknowledged they had received everything.

Eventually I was invited to interview, but right before the scheduled time the recruiter tried to change it last minute to that same evening. During the actual interview, it seemed like we got through the conversation, but after that the communication fell apart completely—I never received follow-up status updates. Emails I sent about the process went unanswered, and after months I still didn’t really know what happened
