HARMAN Software Engineer interview experience

I was asked about OOP concepts and operating system fundamentals, but most of the time they anchored the questions in my projects. Data structures also came up directly.

What stood out was that it wasn’t framed like a narrow specialty screen; it was more like they were checking whether my baseline CS knowledge was solid. I left feeling like I’d been tested for both conceptual understanding and whether I could connect it back to what I’d done.

My reflection was that the challenge came from breadth, not trickiness—being asked to demonstrate basic CS competence across multiple areas.
