H&R Block Software Engineer interview experience

Every question I was asked was based on programming problems, with the same theme repeated throughout rather than a broader mix of topics. The difficulty was listed as difficult, and the way the questions were structured made it feel like I’d have to lean heavily on algorithmic problem-solving just to keep up. I didn’t get an offer, and honestly the main thing I remember is how repetitive the programming focus was compared to what I expected from a typical engineering screen.
