I had a preliminary HR conversation about a position and it was straightforward and respectful.

The HR rep asked a set of questions that felt a bit unconventional, especially around terminology that could be interpreted in broader ways. I remember thinking the goal wasn’t just whether I had memorized definitions, but whether I could explain how I’d think about them.

After the call, they followed up after two business days regarding my application. The process felt organized and calm overall, and there weren’t any technical components described to me—just the early screen and the discussion around how I handled phrasing and meaning.
