After a recruiter step, I got a timed HackerRank technical assessment that was mostly about problem-solving under pressure.

It was an hour long, and I was allowed to use an AI chat assistant during the work. I also had freedom to choose any programming language, which made it feel a bit less rigid than typical platform screens.

The challenge was split in a way that pushed me to stay focused the whole time: it was a real-world style problem broken into two sections, and I had to solve both within the 60-minute limit. What stuck with me most was how practical it felt compared to pure DSA drills, and how quickly the clock made the experience stressful even when the problem itself was clear.
