Gusto Software Engineer interview experience

I was excited about Gusto, but the experience ended up disappointing because of how slow and disorganized the recruiting communication felt.

After applying, the recruiter followed up about a week and a half later just to schedule a phone screen.

Then it took another week to get the technical phone interview scheduled, and even after that, there was a further delay where the company put a hold on final-round scheduling. It wasn’t just slow—it also lacked timely updates and clear transparency about what was happening.

In the end, I didn’t get an offer, and my biggest reflection was that despite being interested in the company, the communication problems made the whole process stressful and hard to trust.
