Gusto Software Engineer interview experience

My process started with a phone technical interview that was basically a standard LeetCode-style coding problem.

After that, I had a video coding interview with another medium LeetCode question.

The final step was a combination of behavioral “Gusto fit” and a technical question. Even though the coding interviews were fairly typical compared to other companies, I actually enjoyed the overall vibe—everyone felt welcoming and encouraging, and that made the process feel more fun than stressful.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the experience itself felt positive because the interactions were friendly and the structure was straightforward.
