My interview process for the technical role felt like it was trying to evaluate both coding ability and behavioral fit, and it spanned several distinct rounds.

It started with an offline coding test, then moved into an HR interview where we discussed practical topics like salary, expected compensation, notice period, and the reasons behind my job change.

Next came two technical rounds, each split into two halves. The first technical round mixed knowledge checks around Java and Spring Boot with a coding problem, and the second round required building an API based on a provided code base before doing another coding task. The last stage was with the hiring manager/engineering manager and leaned more into how I worked and how I’d fit with the team.
