Guardian Life Software Engineer interview experience

The interviewer asked about the types of jobs I’d done before, and then went deeper into my actual experience—what I’d worked on and where my skills fit. One question that stuck was whether I had any experience with attribution modeling in Google Analytics.

Overall, the tone was friendly and I didn’t feel like it was a trap-style questioning session. It mostly centered on aligning my past responsibilities with what they needed, rather than throwing unfamiliar concepts at me.

I didn’t get an offer, but it felt more like an experience-fit discussion than a hard technical gauntlet.
