My process started with an HR pre-screen, then I did a hiring manager interview, followed by a panel interview, and later a head of IT conversation.

The entire schedule was heavy enough that it took about eight hours of my time overall, and the outcome still arrived in a pretty discouraging way.

I didn’t get a quick phone call or any direct feedback at the end—what I received was a rejection email. It felt dismissive, especially given how long I’d been through multiple rounds and how much time I’d invested. The difficulty was average, but the emotional tone of the close-down was what made it stick with me. I walked away rejected, and honestly the lack of respect for my time was the main thing I’d remember.
