I went into the interview expecting a normal panel discussion, but it turned into the worst experience I’d had in years.

The panel had an inappropriate, distracting demeanor that made it hard to stay focused on the questions.

Because the attention kept getting pulled away from the actual interview content, I felt like I was fighting the environment more than the technical difficulty. It wasn’t even the kind of challenge where you can measure yourself against problems; it was more about basic interviewer etiquette breaking the flow.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the biggest takeaway for me wasn’t technical—it was that the atmosphere and professionalism can completely override how well you answer.
