I got contacted by a recruiter and, after an initial call, I was asked to apply for the role.

I ended up interviewing at an L5 level, and the process required three interviews total. They covered coding, system design, and a combined Google-level round that included GL and leadership expectations.

What I remember most was that the flow mixed different evaluation styles: fundamentals through coding, architecture thinking through system design, and then how I framed leadership and decisions in the GL/leadership portion. The structure felt clear even though the categories were broad, and by the end I had a pretty complete picture of what they wanted from that level.
