I didn’t expect the technical questions to go as far into textbook-style math and control theory.

In my interview, they asked me about kinematics and control calculations, and that caught me off guard since I was expecting something more typical for software. They also brought in MATLAB and Simulink related topics.

Because of that mismatch, the process felt tougher than the difficulty label suggested to me personally. I left feeling like I’d been evaluated on a very specific domain I wasn’t prepared for in that depth, and it came across as more specialized than I anticipated.
