I first met recruiters at a university event, and I was scheduled for an interview the very next day.

The setup was compact: a couple behavioral questions, then a technical question at the end.

The day had a quick cadence, and it felt like they were trying to get a fast read on both how I described my experiences and how I handled one technical problem. The technical part didn’t drag on into multiple rounds—there was just a single closing question after the behavior questions.

It was an efficient process, but I didn’t move forward to an offer. Honestly, the fast pace made it hard to tell how much of the decision was about matching the role versus just the limited time in the room.
