Even the first round felt tough.

The interviewer grilled me on operating systems and compilers, and it wasn’t broad surface-level questioning—it dug into really specific concepts. On top of that, the interview moved into deep, detailed questions about smaller technologies mentioned on my resume.

It felt like they wanted me to demonstrate real understanding, not just familiarity. I didn’t pass, and what made it especially stressful was how much precision they demanded on details that weren’t central to the main story of my projects.
