Glean (CA) Software Engineer interview experience

We jumped straight into the coding problem with little guidance, even though the question had multiple possible approaches.

The way the conversation ran made the whole round feel harder than it needed to be—not because the task was necessarily impossible, but because I didn’t get the usual back-and-forth that helps you navigate tradeoffs. The interviewer didn’t really walk me through how they were thinking, so I had to rely on my own instincts the entire time.

I ended up getting rejected, and what stayed with me was how the lack of direction during the coding problem shaped the experience.
