I had an intro call with the recruiter that was straightforward and included a clear explanation of the process.

The next step was that they asked me to sign an NDA before continuing to any further interviews.

I wasn’t comfortable moving forward from a single introductory phone call, and I ended up not signing. The experience was basically cut short at that point, and it left me with a sense that the process moved to legal paperwork faster than it moved to mutual trust.

Because I didn’t proceed, there was no offer and no real interview loop for me to complete. Looking back, the NDA request after only the initial call was what changed everything for me.
