My interviews followed the sort of straightforward flow that matched their handbook.

It began with an initial screening, then I reviewed a merge request, and later I had a technical round with the hiring manager. That last stage combined technical discussion with behavioral questions.

The part that stood out was how much the behavioral side leaned on STAR-style storytelling. I remember feeling that if my answers weren’t structured tightly, it was easy to lose the thread or not land the points the interviewer was looking for. The technical discussions themselves were manageable, but overall the interview flow didn’t lead to a final offer for me.
