I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at General Motors of Canada in what felt like an uneven, confusing timeline.

Messaging + HR coordination — I was initially contacted via WhatsApp, spoke with HR about next steps, and then received an email with interview details.
Teams interview with area leads — I joined a Teams interview with people responsible for the team.
Follow-up required — Afterward, I had to message again on WhatsApp just to check the status. Outcome: No offer and the main takeaway was that communication and status updates were inconsistent.
