My experience was more concentrated around the recruiter/HR stage.

I started with a set of “get to know you” questions, and then the conversation shifted into negotiating expectations—specifically, they tried to pressure the discussion toward what they considered the cheapest acceptable compensation.

The overall impression I left with was that the company talked about doing good work, but the way HR handled the compensation conversation came off as contributing to abusive practice. I didn’t feel great about that framing, and I left the process without an offer.
