Gecko Robotics Robotics Engineer interview experience

I only made it to the first round, because I didn’t have all the skills they were looking for for the specific role. The interviewer took a relaxed approach and gave enough time to answer each question.

The questions covered things tied to my experiences in the field, plus a handful of behavioral prompts. Even though it ended early, the vibe wasn’t combative—it felt more like a fit check than a high-pressure technical gauntlet.

I was rejected after that first screen, and the experience mostly left me with clarity about where my background didn’t line up yet.
