I had a good first conversation with the recruiter where we talked about the company and the role, and we agreed the next step would be a conversation with the engineering director.

Shortly after, I was asked over email to write short answers to four questions, and I sent my responses back the same evening.

After that, the timeline just disappeared. I never heard back from them, and I followed up with two separate emails over the next month. Each time, there was silence—no clear update, no closing note, nothing that explained why the process stopped.

That radio silence left a sour impression on me. Even though the early steps sounded promising, the way it ended—without any acknowledgement—made the process feel disrespectful.
