I was invited to a writing test where they gave written exercises that centered on probability and statistics.

I performed poorly mainly because I hadn’t prepared well for it, and it showed quickly.

What surprised me was that the test itself wasn’t presented as impossibly hard when I think back—fresh probability and stats knowledge was probably enough to clear it. I didn’t progress further, but the bigger lesson from the day was how tightly the results depended on having the right fundamentals fresh rather than any broader test-taking luck.
