The first part for me was a test in a room on my own, and I sat down with it for an hour.

After I handed it in, I was brought back and told to wait while they scored it, and I remember how long that gap felt. The impression I took away was that if the score wasn’t strong, the process wouldn’t really move forward.

Eventually I did get to a second stage where I was interviewed in person by someone senior. That step felt like the real gate—like they were looking for a strong enough signal from the test to justify investing time. I didn’t end up with an offer, and honestly the testing-and-waiting experience made the whole process feel high-stakes from the start.
