Freshworks Software Engineer interview experience

There were four rounds overall, but the process had no clear coherence between stages.

At one point, an interviewer didn’t even seem to know which position they were interviewing me for. Midway through, I had to stop them and clarify that they were asking questions related to a managerial role while I was being interviewed for a staff engineer—so the mismatch was obvious enough that I couldn’t just let it pass.

I didn’t get an offer. The part that stayed with me was how much confusion there was about role alignment, which made the whole evaluation feel unreliable.
