I went through five interviews and, up to that point, everything felt positive.

Each round had been going well and the feedback I received was encouraging, so when I got an email saying they weren’t extending an offer, it hit me unexpectedly.

The frustrating part wasn’t just the decision—it was how little clarity I had afterward. I was left totally confused about why they would invest the time into multiple rounds and then stop without a clearer explanation.

My reflection afterward was that, even when interviews go smoothly, the communication around final decisions matters just as much. I didn’t get the level of closure I needed to feel good about how the process ended.
