My process was relatively straightforward on paper: an OA first, then an HR behavioral screen, then a technical interview where I didn’t make it through.

The most noticeable part for me was how the technical interview played out—it wasn’t really about my background or my history, and the interviewer focused almost entirely on getting to the leetcode-style problem.

By the time I got to that stage, it felt like my experience didn’t matter as much as the ability to solve the specific coding task in that moment. I left without a good sense that there was much interest in a deeper discussion, and that mismatch made the rejection sting a bit more than it would have otherwise.
