I went through what felt like a very narrow funnel.

There was a math test on a call with an HR person, and it was essentially a pass/fail gate on how many questions I got right. I didn’t get taken beyond that stage.

The rejection felt blunt in hindsight, because it came down to whether I answered enough questions correctly rather than anything longer-form. It also left me wondering what exactly I should’ve done differently, since there wasn’t much else to learn from.

Overall, it was a bit frustrating because the process felt silly to base so much on one timed test.
