I was invited for a mental math test and a separate verbal logic test.

The mental math section was pretty similar to the sample they had posted on their website, so I felt reasonably comfortable with that part—at least compared to what came after. The verbal logic test was the real hurdle for me, and when I finished it I knew I hadn’t landed the way they were looking for.

I didn’t make it past the logic stage, getting rejected after the verbal logic test. The main surprise was how strongly that second test dominated the outcome compared to the mental math portion I thought I’d handle well.
