I had a phone screening with the hiring manager that ended up being a rough experience.

It was very short—finished within about five minutes—and the tone felt rude and unprofessional. The call felt like they weren’t actually interested in what I had to say.

It didn’t take long for that to be confirmed: I received a rejection email the same day. The speed of the decision was surprising, but what really stayed with me was how dismissive the screening felt. I didn’t get an offer and honestly wouldn’t have wanted to work there anyway.
