Seattle, WAPosted May 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got pulled into an interview where the programming language and expectations shifted midstream, and despite doing the coding exercise, I wasn’t moved forward.

HackerRank test — A timed 90-minute test followed by a coding interview.
Coding interview (language mismatch) — I was told I’d be coding in Python (and possibly other languages) even though the posting suggested Java; I completed the requirement nearly fully and the interviewer seemed to agree.
Outcome: No offer; the decision felt unclear, and it seemed the team wasn’t confident in what they were hiring for.
