I was brought in for an interview where the focus was mainly on me—my resume and my GitHub.

They looked through my GitHub pages and asked me to walk through my background, but I didn’t get hit with technical questions.

The two interviewers were genuinely friendly and explained a lot about their projects and the company as we talked. It felt more like a mutual conversation than a checklist of coding topics, and that made the whole thing comfortable.

There wasn’t an offer afterward, but I didn’t leave feeling blindsided. My honest takeaway was that the interview tested communication and context more than technical problem-solving.
