Fidelity Investments Frontend Engineer interview experience

The whole experience felt overwhelming because they followed a strict predefined script.

I noticed that deviating from the script wasn’t received well, which made the process feel rigid and lacking flexibility. Even when I tried to explain my reasoning clearly, the structure pushed everything into a narrow format. The difficulty was average overall, but that rigidity made it feel tougher emotionally than the technical demands alone. I didn’t receive an offer, and I left with the impression that the format mattered as much as the content.
