Fidelity Investments Software Engineer interview experience

The first was an initial behavioral phone screening with my recruiter, and the second was a technical plus behavioral Zoom interview with a technical manager.

It was a pretty standard progression: start by understanding my background and how I described experience, then move into a discussion where technical judgment mattered alongside communication. The difficulty was average overall. I didn’t get an offer, but the experience felt like a coherent pipeline—behavior first to set context, then a manager-level technical evaluation to validate how I’d apply that experience.
