My first HR-style conversation felt almost effortless.

It was mainly general questions plus a quick technical overview, but the goal didn’t feel like a hard evaluation of coding ability. I got asked the usual “tell me about yourself” type prompts, and then a small set of basics that confirmed my background—whether I knew Java, whether I had an ISTQB certificate, what salary I expected, and how much time I was willing to invest in the commute-to-work journey. It was more of a fit-and-interpersonal check than a real grilling, and it left me feeling pretty calm during the call.
