I started with a phone interview where I was asked a couple of questions that drew on my CV and background.

After that, there was an onsite interview that combined coding, code understanding, and a wider set of technical topics. I ran into questions across several areas like C++, Python, databases, and even Perl and Java, plus some coverage that touched frontend and backend.

Because the onsite also included questions spanning finance, math, and general things I wanted to ask as well, the scope felt broader than just algorithms. It was still a single continuous evaluation of how I handled different kinds of technical material end to end.
