I went into the process expecting a fairly normal multi-round technical evaluation, and it started that way.

I did a HackerRank-style test, then moved through a technical round with data-structures and algorithm problems like linked lists, strings, and arrays. There was also a cultural fit segment, and later I had another technical round where the topics widened to include medium DS/Algo questions plus networking and programming concepts. Finally, the hiring manager interview came last, where I had to discuss experience and debugging, and then I was surprised by puzzles.

The puzzles didn’t land well for me. I couldn’t fully answer one of them, and for the other I talked through my approach instead
