I had a positive-feeling interview experience, but the follow-up process left me uncertain for weeks afterward.

Interview experience — My interview itself went very well and felt like it aligned with what I needed to discuss.
Waiting period — After the interview, I received no immediate status updates; I had to follow up multiple times over more than a month.
Hiring manager follow-up (after my reach-out) — One time, the hiring manager reassured me that I should hear back within a week, but the silence continued. Outcome: I did not receive an offer in the path where communication broke down—the takeaway is that even a strong interview can feel worse when updates are opaque.
