I had a technical-heavy interview style where the expectations were clear: arrive with strong domain knowledge.

Lead engineer interview — I spoke with a lead engineer for about 45 minutes focused on behavioral questions, followed by another 45 minutes of technical questions.
Technical focus areas — The technical questions targeted core topics (e.g., reactor and equipment-related concepts such as heat exchangers, distillation columns, and pumps). Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that the role demanded strong, recall-ready technical knowledge in addition to behavioral readiness.
