Houston, TXPosted Jan 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with average difficulty, and the process emphasized mindset and personality alongside some technical expectations.

Multiple rounds centered on fit — I went through more than one interview where they assessed my personality and mindset.
Behavioral caution around work-life fit (variant) — I was also warned about work-life balance, and the interviewer presence gave a strong but overstated impression of importance.
Technical topics included but not dominant (variant) — In one similar experience, the evaluation leaned on technical areas like distillation or industrial setups with follow-up questions.

Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and takeaway was to stay realistic about culture
