I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with an average level of difficulty, and it stretched over a few weeks to a few months.

Recruiter/HR touchpoint — I had an initial conversation about my background and the role, sometimes before any technical discussion.
Manager/engineering technical stage — I was asked a mix of behavioral questions plus technical questions; in one case the technical focus centered on operations of an industrial process (e.g., a unit or system), while others stayed closer to general fundamentals.
Final HR/psychology or HR-only discussion — I finished with an HR or psychological-style conversation focused on fit, strengths, and typical scenario questions.
