Seattle, WAPosted Apr 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a coding problem where I solved it on my own and sent in the code.

Before anything got too deep, I also had a brief phone conversation with a recruiter, then a developer call where we talked through my code and my related interests. I remember being relieved that there wasn’t any live coding over the phone.

After those, I went onsite and it ended up being a pretty intense stretch: five rounds with roughly seven or eight people. The questions were mostly algorithm and data structure focused. It was honestly pretty enjoyable compared to how high-stakes it felt, and the pace made it clear they were looking for solid problem-solving rather than just discussion.
