My experience started like a pretty standard recruiter-led process, and I completed everything they asked for.

After a recruiter screening, I was given a one-hour home assignment and finished it successfully. Next, I was invited to two separate one-hour technical interviews—one focused on algorithms and the other on problem-solving and reasoning.

During both technical sessions, I was able to answer thoroughly and correctly, and the interviewers came across as satisfied and engaged. There wasn’t any sign during the calls that something was off or that my performance was being judged negatively. After those interviews, though, I received a generic rejection email a short time later with no explanation
