I had a three-round process where system design and architecture choices were treated as major evaluation criteria.

Coding round — Two coding questions.
System design / HLD — High-level design for an order booking system, with Java Stream questions and discussion of design patterns and microservice patterns.
Managerial/project design — I discussed current project design choices plus trade-offs like time complexity using array vs linked list. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that architecture depth and design reasoning were as important as coding.
