EPAM Systems Software Engineer interview experience

PolandPosted Jun 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a senior/high-level Software Engineer role with difficult questions, and the experience felt misaligned with what the job required over the course of the technical interview.

Technical interview — the interviewer asked very low-level and theoretical material.
Limited role-context discussion — there was essentially no conversation about my past work or how it would map to future responsibilities; the process was described as fixed even when it didn’t seem to fit the candidate. Outcome: No offer; the main takeaway was that the questioning didn’t reflect the senior coding expectations.
