I went through a classic four-step screening where the first online test and subsequent interviews steadily increased the technical difficulty.

Online coding test — a set of subject questions plus a pair of DSA questions.
Group discussion — a structured discussion round to evaluate communication.
Personal interview (shortlisted candidates) — a more direct technical conversation to validate depth.
HR / hiring manager round — final stage after the technical filters. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway was that selection depended on being consistent across assessment + discussion + technical depth.
