I went through an HR-to-technical sequence where the process felt strict and sometimes frustrating, and it ended without an offer.

Recruiter screen (HR) — Questions about my background, what I know about the company, my expectations (including salary), whether I’m in other processes, and some technology familiarity, with time for me to ask questions.
Technical interview — A long, very question-by-question session (about 1.5 hours in one case) covering the usual “textbook” tech topics for the claimed technology; it felt exhausting and perfection-focused.
Managerial follow-up — In one case, a managerial discussion happened, but I was told there was no open position and I never heard back again.
