I went through a campus interview for a Software Engineer role, and the aptitude/coding portion felt easy, but I wasn’t selected.

Aptitude and coding tests — Both were described as very easy.
Technical discussion — I introduced myself and chose a preferred language.
Coding questions — I was asked to reverse every word in a string and another easy follow-up.
Project questions — I was also asked about my project. Outcome: I didn’t get selected; the takeaway was that performance on the coding questions was decisive even in an easy-looking test.
