I applied without a referral and waited a few weeks before getting a phone screen.

The screen was essentially the gatekeeper—after that conversation I wasn’t invited to the onsite. The questions themselves must not have landed well for me because it ended right there.

What I didn’t like was the vibe: the interviewer seemed disinterested and the call didn’t feel like it was geared toward understanding my background. Even without getting technical details beyond that, the overall experience felt abrupt and one-sided, and it left me with very little sense of what I could’ve improved based on the interaction.
