I had a fairly short first technical interaction where most of it boiled down to one significant coding question.

I wasn’t able to qualify for the next round, but the interviewer was still very nice and patient throughout.

What stood out was the communication and demeanor—although the outcome went against me, the interviewer didn’t make it feel hostile. At the same time, they didn’t really provide help to guide me to the solution.

In the end, I didn’t move forward and didn’t get an offer. The experience left me thinking more about how narrow the evaluation felt—one coding question carried a lot of weight.
